Welder

Nikkiso Cryoquip is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers, liquefiers, and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, and well stimulation.

We are looking for a skilled Welder to cut and join metals and other materials at our facility. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure. A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely utilizes the operation of material handling equipment and various tools and machinery. 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift and work with various materials and/or tools, as well as work and bend at different heights, in various temperatures, and be on feet for an extended period of time. 

Education and Experience

Have experience in using a variety of welding equipment and processes.
Have experience in using electrical or manual tools (such as saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
Be able to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
Be familiar with relevant safety standards and be willing to wear protective clothing (face shields, gloves, etc.).
Have at least three years of experience in welding and manufacturing.
Those who hold a welding certificate issued by CWA will be given priority.

Blueprint Interpretation： Read welding blueprints, measure on - site, plan layout for efficient production.
Welding Solution： Select equipment & methods considering material, etc., set detailed parameters.
Workpiece Pretreatment： Pretreat workpieces per specs, clean with grinders, align & clamp parts.
Welding Operation： Operate welding equipment at different positions, control parameters for quality welds.
Quality Control： Judge welding quality by standards, use non - destructive tests to fix defects.
Equipment Maintenance： Maintain welding equipment daily, keep it safe, repair quickly when broken.
